I just wanted to share some amazing sneakers that I want. My friend Anthony showed them to me and I can't stop thinking about them! Who's up for a BBQ?
One web site I just read described the taste and smell of Noni, like rotten cheese. I wouldn't go that far, but the taste of this juice is pretty bad, and if it wasn't so damn good for you I am sure no one would ever touch the stuff again! Noni is the fruit from a shrub native to the Pacific Islands, Polynesia, Asia, and Australia. Its juice is thick, a little pulpy, and thankfully should only be used in small doses. No more than 3-4 oz a day, otherwise it could start to be more harmful than healthy. So what's so good about this stuff?? Here is the low down on the Noni Juice; Powerful Antioxidant: Noni is a good source of polyphenols which are potent antioxidants. Antioxidants help the body guard against damage from free radicals. Free radicals cause cell damage, leading to premature aging, heart disease and other degenerative disorders. Neutralizes Toxins: Noni acts as a detoxifying agent, cleansing the liver, neutralizing toxins and helping maintain
A few days ago P2 and I were waiting in line to check out at Whole Foods in Chelsea and we saw a jar of Coconut Oil. It looked like a jar of shortening. We picked it up because my brother Barry had told it it is really healthy, but it didn't seem like it at all. It's LOADED with saturated fat. Loaded with all kinds of fat. We were very confused as to why this would be a viable alternative to butter or other oils. My brother who told us this was healthy is a strict follower of The Paleo Diet. This diet basically adheres to the way a caveman would eat. All natural of course with lots of meat and veg. Very low carb, no beans, or legumes, and no wheat. That's just a basic outline. The diet seems to be a bit on the fatty side, and I never understood it. Most fat is bad right? And we all know saturated fat is the devil, right? One of the most common ingredient in this diet is Coconut Oil. It replaces things like butter an other oils to cook with. He showed it to me once but
First of all please allow me to apologize for the picture quality. My camera was dead when I went to take a picture, and we were far to hungry to wait for the battery to charge, so I used my iPhone. It’s not terrible, but it is not great either. Now… to the food!!! I originally wanted to try this dish with duck breast but it seems that, even at Whole Foods I can't find any duck breasts. I did find a rather large whole duck, but I didn't get it because it would obviously be too much! So I went for chicken breast. Since I was looking to have that fatty flavor that duck naturally gives out I chose to get the chicken breast (3 breasts) with skin on. I couldn’t find skin on without bones, so I had to debone the breasts at home. It’s really easy to do. You just guide your knife along the rib cage and you’re all set. First preheat your oven to 375 and get started on your rice. I chose brown rice, but any rice you prefer will be fine for this dish. I followed the directions on the ba
